My client, a southeast London local authority, seek an experienced Team Manager - Permanence, Private Fostering and Special Guardianship Support to start this 12 month booking.

We are seeking an interim registered Social Work Team Manager to led and manage a team of social workers responsible for delivering statutory functions in Private Fostering, Special Guardianship support, links to the Regional Adoption Agency and to act asthe divisional permanence lead.

This post is up to 12 months, to cover a vacancy whilst the substantive post holder is seconded to another role.

You will need to have experience of supervising social workers, effective delivery of services within relevant legislative frameworks and managing a social work team.

We are looking for a manager with good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to offer advice and influence colleagues, to support effective permanency planning for looked after children.

You will need to have relevant technical knowledge andtransferrable skills.

The post holder will work with colleagues across a variety of social work teams, attending all permanency planning meetings and relevant panels.

You will join a supportive corporate parenting service and work closely with other managers in the service and across the wider division, to improve outcomes and the lived experience of Lewisham's children, young people, their families and carers.

Hybrid working is possible, and the post holder will need to be in the office, based in Catford, a minimum of 60 percent of the working week.

Immediate start

Full time 35 hours per week

£45 LTD UMBRELLA / £35.48 PAYE per hour
