The shift pattern for this position is 7 day flexible.
This is an exciting opportunity, to join the Central Pharmacy Team and wider pharmacy workforce within Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS).
Although the post holder will work as part of Team they will be expected to manage their own workload and work autonomously to develop and implement strategy, policy and best practice.
They will assist the work of the Lead Pharmacist within the GGC ADRS in providing professional support in the care and treatment of patients.
ADRS currently provide treatment and care toapproximately 9000 individuals.
The post holder will be expected to develop the role of pharmaceutical care in relation to problem alcohol and drug use.
They will assist the Lead pharmacist to support 291 community pharmacies on all aspects of drug and alcohol use and provide professional support and liaison on pharmacy issues to a wide range of treatment and care services, primary and Tier 4 services, statutory services, voluntary agencies, and to 6 Alcohol and Drug Partnerships (ADPs) and HSCPs in GG&C.
This post requires a pharmacist with a minimum of five years post registration, strong inter-personal, clinical and organisational skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to negotiate with and influence others.
This post is available on a full time basis and requires an individual with the ability to participate, when needed, in a 7 day rota, covering weekends, bank holidays and providing emergency cover when necessary.
