Our client is currently looking to recruit an interim Head of Communications on an initial 6 month contract, working on a hybrid basis in Northamptonshire.

Head of Communication

£500 per day inside IR35

Northamptonshire - Hybrid


Key duties:

  • Lead the organisations Corporate Policy and Communications service comprising of the Consultation and Engagement, Corporate Communications, Corporate Policy, Equalities and Executive Support functions.
  • Develop the right strategies and approaches to ensure that the organisation effectively improves understanding of the key services delivered.
  • Ensure the organisation works with partners, raising the profile and celebrating the work it does with peers and stakeholders.
  • Advise the Chief Executive, the Leaders, Executive Members and the Corporate Leadership Network on critical policy and reputational matters.
  • Shape the approach to all aspects of consultation, engagement, corporate communications, equalities and policy to ensure they maximise opportunities for providing modern public services and builds its reputation with local communities.
  • Lead on the development of the corporate strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Provide highly effective leadership to the Policy and Communications Service.
  • Identify innovative and best practice ways of working and maintain strong professional networks, both inside and outside of the organisation.
