Description

We are looking to recruit a FAIR Inspector to work for an international manufacturing company based in Basildon supplying components to the aerospace industry.

The FAIR Inspector will provide Quality and Inspection support and to develop the Right First-Time philosophy required to become a leading supplier of components to the aerospace industry.

If you have previous experience of FAIR inspection gained in an engineering/manufacturing environment, then we want to hear from you.

Duties:

Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process
Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages
First article inspection and nonconformance procedures
Support and promote improvement activities within the manufacturing processes
Work within cross functional teams to support business development, growth and improvement projects
Complete FAIRS to AS9102 using Q-Pulse and Netinspect

Skills & Experience:

An engineering background with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Must have worked to ISO9001 and provided 1st Article Inspection Reports
Technical knowledge within the aerospace sector preferred
Competent in use of verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges and DTI (Digital Test Indicators) Experience in a quality control environment preferred
Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision with excellent attention to detail
CMM an advantageous but not essential
Lean tools such as 8D, Kaizen (Continues Improvement) processes preferable
Practical Problem-Solving skills
