In Trafford, our client is a well-established, multi-award-winning law firm that supports those in need.

They're looking for an empathetic and supportive IT professional to join their IT Operations Team as a tech support lead and headline projects, overseestakeholders and manage operational systems located "on-prem" or in the cloud.


Location:
Trafford, Manchester (initially 5 days a week with options for flex once the probation period has passed)

Responsibilities include:


  • Diagnose and manage technical issues as they arise
  • Provide mentorship to end users
  • Ensure smooth delivery and upgrades of apps that align with agreed timescales
  • Oversee smooth transitions to the cloud infrastructures (Azure)
  • Remain aware of hardware, software, Wi-Fi and firewall statuses and ensure they are working correctly
  • Keep on top of technical documentation
  • Manage critical or complex incidents as required, including providing higherups with updates.
  • Provide reports on KPIs and trends
  • Establish best practices in line with management


This lead role requires a selfless individual with a firm technical footing that enjoys collaborating with others (you'll be working directly with the IT Operations Manager) and empowering others.

This role is critical to new business growth and is a perfectstepping stone for a Service Desk Manager looking to upgrade their career to the next level


What skills do you need?

  • Experience as a service desk manager
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT policies and procedures
  • Understanding of best practices for service management
  • Relevant commercial experience in a similar 1st line tech support role
  • Experience with O365 and Azure platform
  • Background in IT security
  • Uptodate knowledge of GDPR
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and communication skills
