A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and results driven account handler to join an integrated communications agency.

The PR Account Manager must be able to pitch effectively across the entire media spectrum (consumer, trade, business and influencer) and will have excellent writing skills to develop the best game plan to get their clients out there.

Role and responsibilities:

Media Relations
Build positive relationships with clients and maintain regular daytoday contact and close relationships with key press.

Client Account Management

Ensure daily communication with line manager with regards to all aspects of client management, contribute to agency meetings, initiatives and campaign development meetings.

Campaigns and Strategy

Evaluate campaign effectiveness via monthly client reports
Proactively seeking and identifying publicity opportunities to ensure that the maximum level of coverage is achieved

Communication Plans

Assist with the implementation of communication plans including: research and idea generation; writing coherent and factually accurate press releases; writing well informed copy; awards entries; event management, etc

New Business

Work with the Directors to prepare proposals and pitches

Events

Plan and manage events ranging from photo calls, press conferences, launches, training days etc. Attend industry events and entertain key media targets

Skills and experience:

Previous experience in a similar PR role working with FMCG / lifestyle clients.
Ability to build a network of journalists, influencers and press commentators.
Evidence of superb writing skills including copywriting, marketing and report writing, social media, event management and client liaison skills
Confident and competent working on own initiative
Extremely wellorganised, methodical and efficient, and good attention to detail
Creative and strategic thinker
