About the role

What you need to know:

The role sits in the London Casualty team covering UK Indigenous Primary, XOL and Multinational clients across a diverse number of sectors and the Risk Managed and Middle market space.
The role is a minor Team Leader position with Junior and Underwriter Casualty reports within the team. This will require coaching, mentoring and risk referral support.
Team Leader will work in conjunction with the Team Line Business Owner to meet 2023 financial objectives.
The position will include underwriting duties and will be tasked to working towards continued focus on underwriting excellence across the casualty unit.
Role will be aligned to the business 'must win battles' outlined for 2023 i.e. P&C Protect (Retail), Broker facilities; Marsh Resilience, Willis 360, Aon Trio. Grow core areas including digital, PL/P, Multinational offering and International brokers within the London Market.

What we're looking for:

Demonstrable experience in a Casualty underwriting environment.
Degree or other professional Industry qualification.
Technically strong, can focus on the detail and willing to share expertise and has experience with mentoring junior and underwriter colleagues
Will be organised, collaborative and able to work across all organization levels.
Good written and effective verbal communication skills
Has a proactive, positive, cando attitude and will have focus on the best broker and client outcomes.
Is able to manage less experienced colleagues to ensure a high level of client service is provided and maintained.
Ability to build closely with Senior Management to identify and drive opportunities in line with business strategy and targets.
Able to adhere and undertake assigned project work to time scales as directed
