The starting salary for this role is £23,282 per annum, working 36 hours per week.


At
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) we have an opportunity for an exciting new role as a Volunteers Coordinator.

This position will report to the SFRS Volunteers Manager, supporting the activities of our team, their development andgrowth.


About Us


Our Volunteers provide key support to service initiatives and events throughout the year (as well as self-generated campaigns) with the purpose of informing and educating people in Safety: at Home, on the roads and outdoors, helping communities to gain skillsand awareness to stay safe and live well.

It is our duty to ensure that our Volunteers are well supported, and their skills are best utilised to the serve our residents.


About the Role
This role will involve regular 1-2-1 contact with our Volunteers, administrative duties and collaboration with various internal departments.

You will be required to build effective working relationships and will respond to enquiries in a timely manner, assuch, organisational skills are a must.

As an interactive role, you will also be expected to assist with engagement at events. This may involve occasional weekend working /or flexibility to regular working hours. This role will be principally based at Woodhatch Headquarters, however you may workin a variety of locations across Surrey. The role is part of Surrey County Council's agile working strategy.


About You


We are looking for a great communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills and a sound understanding of computer programmes such as Word, Excel, and Teams.

Also, to have the ability to learn about internal software systems and be able to use theseeffectively to carry out the role.
