Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join us in the commercial team as a Retail Support Specialist.

The role plays a key part in supporting the CrossCountry retail landscape from an e-commerce and on-board revenue perspective.

This is a 15-Month Fixed Term Contract.

It's an exciting time to be involved in retail, with ongoing investment and focus on the following areas:

  • Future retail modernisation programme.
  • Promoting Smart fulfilment methods.
  • Improving our online offering.
  • Increasing barcode enablement.
  • Delivering industry projects which will require increased management of systems, suppliers and training.

Purpose of Job & Principal Accountabilities

  • To manage the relationship between Trainline (online retail supplier), to progress development activities and BAU
  • To manage the relationship between Fujitsu (onboard retail supplier), to progress development activities and BAU
  • First point of contact for service/support queries before escalation to Retail Manager
  • To support delivery of other AUKT Commercial and Customer Service projects as required
  • Responsible for coordinating TOC requirements and liaising with suppliers on behalf of TOC stakeholders.
  • Support delivery by AUKT project managers if required to lead large Trainline and Fujitsu development projects

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training
***- Essential:
  • Strong Commercial awareness
  • Numeracy, especially in interpreting management information
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Welldeveloped negotiation, communication, diplomacy and presentation skills as well as ability to work at all levels
  • Experience in evaluating opportunities and making sound recommendations
  • Strategic and conceptual abilities coupled with a bias for action and a proven track record of results
  • Desirable:
  • Experience of project managing delivery of commercial systems
