Kippie Sports & Leisure Club is a private club located in Milltimber, Aberdeen. It offers its members social and sporting facilities. You will be based at our main reception in the Sports Complex working a five-day week with alternating shift patterns, the earliest shift starts at 5.15am and the latest finishes at 10.15pm. You will be expected to work approximately every third weekend. Please note this is a permanent position.


You will ensure reception is managed efficiently and all members and guests are greeted in a courteous and polite manner and made to always feel welcome, and take overall responsibility for leading the reception team, while ensuring that all shifts are covered based on the business requirements.


As part of the Sports Complex Duty Supervisor Team, you will be in charge in the event of an emergency in the Sports Complex where you will ensure the relevant Emergency Action Plan and / or Operating Procedures are carried out to ensure the safety of all staff, members, and contractors.


KEY DUTIES / OBJECTIVES:


  • To take charge in the event of an emergency or customer complaint in the sports Complex.
  • Ensure the Reception department runs smoothly daily and is adequately stocked with all necessary goods.
  • Supervision of staff in Reception and assist the Complex Supervisor with setting rotas.
  • To inspire and motivate the reception team to always offer the best level of customer service.
  • To ensure any member/guest issues are addressed immediately and resolved in a manner which exceeds the customers' expectations.
  • Ensure excellent communication exists within the reception team as well as across departments.
  • To ensure all staff are aware of all relevant emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • To liaise closely with other departments with regards to the IT issues, maintenance, Housekeeping.
  • Perform opening and closing duties.
  • Ensure all staff receive a thorough induction and suitable training to perform their job to the highest standard.
  • Support the Complex Supervisor as and when required class timetable, staff training, ordering of equipment, inventory lists, basic plant duties etc.

Profile Desirable:


  • Knowledge of sport
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety

Qualification Essential:


  • Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Educated to at least GCSE grade C standard or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Computer literate keyboard skills and familiar with Microsoft Office software

Qualification Desirable:

NVQ level 2 supervisory or equivalent

Customer Service Certificate


Pay:
£12.51 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
