Macildowie are currently working in conjunction with a successful business in Leicester that has a global reach, they are seeking a Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The operations manager is a new senior management position that will be offer a core focus to providing leadership to the existing management team in the day-to-day running of the business, which will be key ensuring that the directors can focus future growth.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • You will take responsibility for the operational departments and carrier solutions.
  • Developing and implementing strategies and processes to streamline operational time lines
  • Analysing data to identify and resolve issues
  • Negotiating with and managing our carrier relationships to ensure that solutions are in place for expansion while providing bottom line savings

  • Essential skills/experience:
  • Record of accomplishment of dealing with challenging logistics issues and demonstrated excellent judgement and delivery
  • Experience of managing technical projects where you can talk with confidence and knowledge about what you did.
  • Keen desire to understand processes, taking them apart and looking for improvements
  • Commercial exposure, ideally with carriers or logistics companies

Desirable:

  • Lean or Six Sigma qualification
  • Multichannel retail
  • Commercial exposure, ideally with carriers or logistics companies
