Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Director to join our team.
As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents in a care home setting.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents
- Plan and coordinate a variety of activities, such as games, crafts, outings, and entertainment
- Collaborate with the care team to assess residents' interests and abilities to tailor activities accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents during activities
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote engagement and participation
- Stay uptodate with current trends in senior care and incorporate innovative activities into the program
- Provide leadership and guidance to activity assistants
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role in a nursing home or assisted living facility is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care and experience working with individuals with memory loss is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for seniors
Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
Pay:
£11.44 per hour
