Looking for something new & exciting in the NHS? Ever considered Prison healthcare? We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Matron to join our team.

HMP Gartree is a Category B High security men's prison in Market Harborough Leicestershire.

The prison capacity is for up to 700 men with many of the prisoners serving long term or life sentences.

The post sits within the wider Healthcare Service and is integrated alongside Substance Misuse and Primary Care.

You will form part of the Healthcare Leadership team, working effectively together and will report to the Head of Healthcare to ensure collectively the healthcare needs of men residing at HMP Gartree are met.

The role is pivotal in leading and co-ordinating a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to meet the needs of the patient population across the prison establishment.


About the role:

You will be responsible for the clinical management and leadership of the Integrated Mental Health Team within the Prison establishment

To lead effective Mental Health services for patients, which deliver against required standards:

- **To demonstrate innovative practice, whilst collaboratively working with multiple stakeholders, maintaining clinical efficacy, enabling the service to compete as provider of choice to local commissioners.
