This is a great opportunity to build upon your existing career in care and help support people with autism and learning disabilities.

The right person will already have experience supporting/ caring for one or more of the following groups; young adults, people with Autism or a learning disability or people with challenging behaviour.

Please note due to the personal needs of the individual you will be supporting we can only consider male applicants for this role.

Requirements of the role

Can you coach, enable and support people through challenging situations?
Do you have relevant experience you can bring to the role?
Are you fit enough to support people to access a range of activities?
Do you have a full UK driving license held for 12 months?
Want to progress your career?

You will be supporting individuals in all walks of life; inside the house, in the community and out on activities.

Many of the people you will be supporting will be active, doing a range of different activities that can include things like hiking, horse riding and swimming.

We therefore need people who are fit and will enjoy participating in these activities with the individuals they support.

Part of your role is to support a person during significant emotional issues. This can be challenging but also very rewarding.

The right person for the role will be calm, confident and assured to help that person recover in tough moments.

On the other hand it's equally important the right person is fun and positive to help improve the emotional well being of those they support, and get the most from what is an incredibly fun and rewarding role
