Description

An exciting new full time permanent role for a Speech & Language Therapist to work in the Stroke Pathway Assessment and Rehab Centre (SPARC) in Sheffield.


The successful post holder will provide clinical Speech & Language Therapy to a defined specialised caseload as part of the SLT stroke service.


The SLT service across both the acute and community teams in STH has approximately 55 staff (47 therapists, 7 assistants and 4 secretarial staff wte).


The SLT teams are highly motivated to provide a quality service to their patients, they are research active and embrace innovation.

The service has established processes for supervision and supports personal and professional development.


To provide clinical speech and language therapy services to a defined specialized caseload of adult patients as part of the Stroke pathway team.

To specialise in the assessment and management of communication disorders and dysphagia related to stroke.

To provide a Speech & Language Therapy Service to adults with swallowing, voice and communication disorders.
