Salary:
Up to £55,000 + Bonus + Benefits


Contract/Permanent:

Working Hours:9am - 5:30pm (Flexible)


Hours per week: 37.5

THE JOB:


The role of the BI Developer:

  • Working as a BI Developer to Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration and/or retirement.
  • Ensuring efficient data extraction from databases using ETL processes
  • Learning and using the Microsoft Azure Data Stack
  • Data Lake, Data Factory, Azure Synapse and SQL
  • Design, develop and test Power Platform tools to ensure smooth integration into our modern data platform.
  • Designing Society Apps using Power Apps
  • Ensuring BI is developed according to Governance controls.
  • Designing and developing database systems alongside their corresponding data models and information architecture
  • Building impactful insights for Society Stakeholders

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:


Essential Skills of a BI Developer:

  • Experience in BI, Data Visualisation (Power BI/Tableau) and use of BI tools
  • Experience in SQL and T-SQL procedures
  • Knowledge of ETL solutions
  • On Prem and Cloud
  • Experience of Data warehousing (design and development)
  • Conceptual understanding of physical data modelling, data quality and flow mapping
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the business.
  • Strong skills in general software development and systems administration

Desired Skills of a BI Developer:

  • Understanding of Risk Management
  • Data Protection/GDPR
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure suite of data products including Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory and Synapse, Purview

Soft Skills:


  • Reliable can work in a team but also by themselves.
  • Team player
  • Communication skills key to the success of this role
