Description

This post is such an exciting opportunity to experience how psychology is making a difference at a regional and national level.

Come and join the East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network which works with 11 neonatal units across the East Midlands.

We support the staff and the teams who support the babies and families accessing neonatal care.

This post is in line with the Neonatal Critical Care review (NCCR) which called for ODNs and trusts to better support families and for staff to be neonatal experts.

This assistant psychology post will directly contribute to the East Midlands meeting these aims, through the provision of a programme of training for psychological professionals and allied health professionals working in neonatal units.

The post will also work with psychological and allied health professionals across the East Midlands to support audit and research and understand better how we are supporting families and how we might develop provision.

You will be a key player in developing, delivering and evaluating provision to neonatal units.

There will be a focus on ensuring that our work improves peoples understanding of the role and value of psychological professionals and allied health professionals.

Post-holders will contribute to regular and ongoing evaluation using qualitative and quantitative methods, and there will be an emphasis on collecting a variety of comprehensive information throughout the project.

As well as the categories of focus listed above, demographic information, levels of satisfaction and patient feedback will be key targets for data collection, in order to understand how the service is meeting the needs of the families, and providing opportunities for improvement via regular feedback from key stakeholders.

The post-holder will also work on developing resources, such as leaflets and brief videos, and there will be opportunities to deliver consultation and training to MDT colleagues.

The Trust is committed to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in both how it cares for patients and as an employer.

Policies, procedures and practices are reviewed regularly to ensure that all employees, patients and carers are treated equitable according to their needs.
