Goodman Masson have partnered with a global Financial Services business to assist with their search for a Qualified Accountant to join their UK Finance team for a 12 month maternity cover.

The role involves a wide range of responsibilities from management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as financial reporting, accounts production and regulatory reporting.

The role requires someone to work independently and proactively, interactingclosely with various stakeholders at all levels across the finance function, including the Merchant Banking CFO.

Responsibilities

Preparing management accounts for review by senior management
Preparing annual financial statements
Complete group reporting for UK MB companies
Preparing finance board papers for UK MB companies
Preparing regulatory returns for UK MB regulated entities
Responsible for reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts and control of the general ledger
Review and approval of supplier invoices and employee expense claims, including travel

Experience & skills required

Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
Experience in an audit firm or experience working in a corporate environment
Financial Services industry experience (preferable)
Experience of SAP accounting (preferable)
