    Academic Compliance Specialists have key responsibilities:

    1. State Regulatory Reporting and Compliance
    2. State Authorization
    3. Academic Operational Audit and Compliance
    4. New and Revised Program Applications and Implementation
    5. Programmatic Accreditation Reporting and Compliance
    6. Compliance Process, Communication, and Documentation

    This role interacts with university constituents and external regulatory partners to ensure ongoing compliance. Developing standard processes and documentation will be a primary responsibility. Collaboration includes working with System Division Chairs on regulatory submission templates, the Data Analytics/Compliance team on reporting requirements, and the Academic Operations Leadership team on audit checklists.

    Required Experience and Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
    • Two years of higher education experience
    • Prior experience interacting with post-secondary education regulatory bodies
    • Five years of post-secondary education compliance experience (preferred)
    • Experience submitting applications to post-secondary regulatory bodies (preferred)
    • Report writing education or experience (preferred)

    Physical Requirements:

    • Maintain a stationary position 50% of the time
    • Ability to move around campus as needed
    • Effective verbal communication with students, faculty, staff, and colleagues
    • Visual assessment capabilities
    • Operate program-specific equipment, personal computers, audio-visual, clinical equipment, etc.
    • Travel up to 30% for meetings, conferences, or campus visits
