Bank Health Care Support Workers (HCA) work flexibly to fill short term staffing shortages within the teams in our organisation.

Shifts can become available up to six weeks in advance, as well as at short notice, so you can plan-ahead or pick up a shift on the day, online or via the smart phone app, straight away.

You can choose the location and shift patterns that suit you and your family needs and commitments. Depending on your experience we can offer you roles within both physical and mental health settings.

You can work in one or many of our sites to find out which one suits you best.

Bank workers are paid hourly:
£ £12.44 (Depending on NHS experience)

What do we need from you?

NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or,

Recent experience within a hospital setting or significant experience within a nursing home/care setting as a carer

Someone used to working independently in a care setting with a minimum level of support a minimum of three shifts per month


Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.


Interview assessments will be conducted in Wimborne using a values based approach, you will need to be available for the full day.


Successful applicants will be invited to a values based assessment and interview day in Wimborne, Dorset on Friday 28th of June 2024; you will need to be available for the full day if invited.
