Position:
Sales Assistant (Full Time / Permanent)

Location:
Gordons Chemists 15 Kings Road, Whitehead, Carrickfergus BT38 9PU


Duties Include:


  • Accuracy in the operation of till transactions / cash handling / submitting reports to Head Office
  • Ensuring orders are sent / received by the warehouse in a timely matter
  • Promote exceptional customer service and continually review service levels
  • Providing knowledge / up to date advice on our product ranges, promotions and special offers
  • Stock maintenance
  • Merchandising products
  • Maximise sales opportunities
  • Assist on the medicines counter (OTC Counter) / dispensary when required
  • Delivery and collection of prescriptions when required
  • Key holder duties
  • Maintain professional standards of dress and grooming
  • General Housekeeping
  • Other duties as required

Essential Requirements:


  • 6 Months experience in a similar retail environment demonstrating selling / customer service skills
  • Good numeracy and accuracy skills
  • Good attendance and punctuality
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous health and beauty retail experience
  • Previous fragrance/ skincare retail experience
  • Delivery and collection of prescriptions when required
  • Flexibility to work as and when required
  • Flexibility to work in local Gordons Chemists branches
  • Eligibility to work in UK

Desirable Requirements:


  • 6 Months experience in a similar retail environment demonstrating selling skills
  • 6 Months experience demonstrating exceptional customer facing skills
  • Previous pharmacy experience

Duration:


This position is Full Time and Permanent, working 38.75 hours / 5 days per week primarily Monday to Friday as per shop rota there may be requirement to work Saturdays.
