Student Wellbeing Officer - Northampton

Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Pay Rate:
£18,696-£19,599 (pro rata to the full time equivalent of £21,605-£22,648)
An opening has arisen for a Student Wellbeing Officer, with focus on working with young people and vulnerable adults
- Providing frontline support to students; providing advice and guidance on emotional health and wellbeing issues
- Working and communicating with external services as required
- Working with other cross colleges to identify vulnerable students and encourage engagement with available support
- Providing support and guidance to students, including sign posting to external services and making referrals for more support
- Daily monitoring and management of wellbeing and student needs
- Working with curriculum teams, student services, learning support and Personal Development teams
- Supporting the residential team with the safeguarding of residential students
- Promoting high levels of support and agency links
- Maintaining accurate and uptodate records using appropriate college systems
- Strong coordination and communication skills to provide frontline support to students
- Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent)
- TAQA or Assessors / IQA Qualification
