As a Talent Delivery Consultant, you'll play an important role in supporting the development of colleagues and the delivery of strategic internal talent mobility plans for our store teams across our London zone by working closely with your stakeholders.

You'll have responsibility for key talent and development initiatives ranging from facilitating talent reviews to regional and zonal specific development requirements along with some National talent initiatives.

You'll also ensure that we identify and develop the best internal talent to strengthen our teams across retail, and deliver on our group aims for diversity, inclusion, and progression.


Internally this role is known as a Talent Delivery Consultant, but in other organisations, this might be known as
HR Business Partner,
Junior Talent Partner, or
Talent Development Specialist among others, but no matter what your role title is, we're looking for someone with experience of managing and influencing stakeholders, analysing data to provide useful insight to develop internal talent within a large and complex organisation.

More about the role:


  • Support the Head of Talent in delivering the talent/people plan, managing, and coordinating activities as required, including end to end project delivery
  • Collate people data analysis, MI reporting and insights to support areas of focus in line with reviewing and developing the effectiveness of talent strategies where required
  • Support the Centres of Excellence to ensure new solutions for colleagues are fit for purpose, by providing feedback to improve both content and user experience
  • Ensure all aspects of talent are inclusive and fully aligned to the corporate inclusion strategy
  • Regularly review talent interventions to ensure solutions and development are driving continuous improvement of capability which are aligned to priorities and delivering ROI, ensuring to feedback to the Head of Talent supporting the relevant specialist area
  • Nurture high potential colleagues across the zone using existing talent frameworks to support their development
  • Give guidance to managers to access and use the Learning and Development offers available to support their own and their teams' personal development
  • Responsible for (facilitating/delivering) virtual and face to face learning interventions including leading development programmes to retail stakeholders.

  • Able to engage others, of all levels, in initiatives by being credible and persuasive
  • The ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations
  • Great at using data to tell a story to prioritise, influence outcomes and track progress
  • Have a credible and confident presentation style, able to move from explaining to engaging
  • A good understanding of general HR principles and practices, including in the following areas: talent management, learning and development, diversity and inclusion
  • Some experience of owning, tracking, and delivering small HR projects
  • Be a positive change ambassador
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
