Founded in 1837, the Royal College of Art is the world's largest community of postgraduate art and design students.

It is also the oldest art and design university in continuous operation and has been ranked as the world 's number one art & design university for a remarkable nine consecutive years, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject the largest world-wide survey of academic and industry opinion.


We are seeking outstanding practitioners and researchers to contribute towards the ongoing work of the School of Design and the Royal College of Art more broadly.


Your research will be expected to operate at a high level, consistently producing research outputs of at least 3* REF quality to enable submission to the REF.

You will pursue funding opportunities for your research and involve colleagues in collaborative projects and contributing to the rich research culture and environment of the School as described in the School's Research Plan.
