Looking for an individual to join the Maintenance Team, to ensure the safe and uninterrupted running of all plant, equipment and services, both production and non-productive, using both planned and breakdown maintenanceMaintenance Engineer - Requirements
Engineering Experience
- Minimum ONC in Mechanical Plant Engineering
- Good understanding of engineering practices and methods
- Plant knowledge
- Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship
Communication & Leadership
- Assertive when required
- Able to delegate effectively
- Able to motivate and recognise opportunities for team members to develop
- Proactively identifies and deals with conflict
- Acts with initiative
Computer skills
- Knowledge of Excel, able to understand and interpret spreadsheets
- Able to work with maintenance management software, SharePoint and
- Understand the limitations/processes of these systems
- Good understanding of Word, Outlook & PowerPoint

- Able to think logically through solving a problem
- Able to manage frequently and rapidly changing priorities and react in a clear and rational manner
- Dedication to the job and a willingness to achieve.

Maintenance Engineer - Responsibilities
Provide Mechanical maintenance support
- Prioritise maintenance requirements to suit business needs
- Breakdown, improvement, repair and planned maintenance across site
- Ensuring routine machine maintenance is carried out as necessary
- Available for out of hours advise or call out attendance as required
- Work with external contractors on both preventative & reactive works
- Complete tooling changes on presses as requested
Work to health and safety guidelines and ensure practices are maintained and developed
- Work in a safe manner both to themselves and to their colleagues
- Comply with all relevant H&S policies and procedures and act as a role model in demonstrating compliance within the workplace
- Assist with problem solving any issues that appear Communicate any issues through appropriate methods to the site service, technical and departmental heads where necessary.
Identify and develop improvements/procedures
- Development of safe systems of work
- Aid in the development of existing apprentices and any future recruitments
