Butler Ross have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a world renowned heritage manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join their team and help develop suppliers, keep up with demand and create a strategic procurement method.

This role is 4 days a week in office and 1 day a week from home, they also have a lunchtime finish on a Friday and a range of other benefits.

Duties of the Senior Buyer

Manage and build new relationships with suppliers ensuring they are able to meet business needs and offer a strong and reliable service.
Closely supporting NPI/NPD teams and leading the team from a procurement perspective.
Good contracts knowledge and able to negotiate and draft contracts.
Developing procurement processes inline with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Procuring a set portfolio of commodities from around the world.
Ensuring suppliers are shipping raw materials to arrive onsite in time for manufacturing processes.
Mitigate material price increase, shortage risks and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Negotiate the best price for our raw materials.
Delivering a preagreed procurement strategy.

Experience required for the Senior Buyer

Previously worked in a highly regulated and fast paced manufacturing environment, automotive or something similar is ideal.
Ideally brought commodities including wiring, PCBs, Aluminium Die Casting, Cast Iron, Steel & Plastics.
Experience with NPI/NPD.
Strong negotiation skills and able to identify cost reduction opportunities.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals.
If not already CIPS Level 4 qualified a willingness to undertake studies.

Salary:
£38,000 - £45,000

This role would be well suited to a senior buyer, category buyer, commodity buyer, category manager, commodity manager, purchasing manager, procurement manager or procurement officer.

£38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
