We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our busy team in Sheffied
Working direct on a key Client site in a site resident facilities team, this role involves supporting non-core engineering and facilities operations in a total support service, working in conjunction with adi site Management and the Client Team in the planning,coordination and completion of day-to-day maintenance repairs and operations, planned services and controlling adi appointed Contractors coming to site to undertake outsourced maintenance services.
Mechanical Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- To perform effective hands on maintenance and operation of all services, utility equipment, control systems and infrastructure within the noncore facilities remit in a manner that upholds the quality of the operation, focusing on safety, output, cost effectivenessand the preservation and improvement of the company's installation and budgetary guidelines
- Maintain pipe systems, pipe supports and related ancillary equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, effluent and waste
- To work within the team to develop teams and own capabilities to continuously improve maintenance capability and effectiveness and review current ppm content and frequency
- Ensure root cause analysis and problem solving techniques are carried out to maximise the efficiency and safety of plant and machinery
- To ensuring safe and efficient plant operation and compliance to Client and legislative Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements
- To assist in the planning and delivery of routine maintenance and the completion of maintenance work requests (MWR) on the Client's CMMS
- To be available for call outs and attend as necessary when called out within all normal health and safety procedures
- Effectively communicate both technical and nontechnical information with Client and own Team
- Contribute to minor project work as required
- Coordinate and work with appointed Subcontractors when requested
- Liaise and engage with Client Engineering Team, Stakeholders and any other nominated persons, to prioritise workload, understand business needs and create a seamless extension of the Client Engineering Team
- Undertake Client permit to work (PTW) training and be able to issue permits for Contractors or Agents of adi
- Communicate with adi Management
- Internal Customer satisfaction first line interface with Client Engineering Team members
- Add value and contribute toward improvements in plant and equipment reliability
- Effective operation and maintenance of key plant and equipment
- Use of the site CMMS
- Ensuring swift rectification of plant corrective and reactive actions
- Implementing and leading permanent fixes
- Safely managing Contractors coming onto site when requested
- Ensuring Health and Safety is observed at all times
