Hyde is looking to recruit an Income Recovery Officer.

As an Income Recovery Officer at Hyde you will be working as part of the Central Income Services team to manage the prevention and recovery of rent arrears and other debts for all tenure types, (to include but not limited to rent accounts, homeowner accounts, sundry accounts, and former tenant accounts) in accordance with Hyde's policies and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Managing the income collection process for a portfolio of tenancy accounts.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of customers from first point of contact, actively responding to all forms of customer contact (including inbound calls and digital communications) to help improve the overall customer experience in line with Hyde's vision, policies, and service promise.
  • Assist customers in the management of their revenue accounts, providing appropriate advice and guidance regarding benefits and welfare entitlements to maximise their potential income, making appropriate referrals where needed.
  • Take ownership of designated Hyde customer tenures to assist with the prevention and reduction of arrears across the business, ensuring all bad debt and customer accounts in arrears remain within specified thresholds, as directed by the Income Management team.
  • Use money management expertise to assist customers with the prioritisation of rent, service charge payments, and arrears reduction, ensuring a detailed knowledge of all charges at an individual property level and taking responsibility for any required actions as appropriate.
  • Produce comprehensive eviction reports, including applicable risk assessments for approval, attending and carrying out evictions in line with Hyde's policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience of working within the housing sector.
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Selfstarter with the ability to use initiative and problem solve.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
