About the role:
We're looking for an Employee Relations Adviser to join us on a 18-month fixed term contract.
You'll be responsible for providing advice and guidance on all ER cases, proactively managing them to completion in line with Nucleus policy and current employment law.
You'll work to develop the ER capability and confidence of our people leaders, establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholder of all levels, increasing ER visibility and awareness throughout the wider business.
A broad and current knowledge of employment law practices is key, as well as the ability to communicate complex information in an understandable, succinct and appropriate way.
You'll balance best practice with the need ti support sound business decisions, ensuring all implications are considered whilst influencing and supporting leaders on a specific course of action.
This is an essential and varied role, with big scope to deliver key value to the organisation through our policies, processes and approach.
- Providing 1st line ER support, advice and proactive management to the wider business
- Ensuring all ER tasks are completed in a fair, legal, timely and consistent manner
- Supporting with ER process reviews and automation
- Supporting in recording and maintaining all ER processes, policies and associated documents
- Collaboration of the creation and maintenance of People Leader Toolkits
- Providing ER case data for monthly Board report
- Collaborating in designing and delivering ER process training
- Relationship building with people leaders and key stakeholders
- Processing of Data Subject Access Requests
- Processing and maintaining Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) records
- Ensuring the ongoing compliance with GDPR practices within ER
- Carrying out exit interviews, recording and communicating collected data

- Experience of working within a similar role, specifically at an Adviser level
- Experience of working within a similar/regulated environment
- CIPD/relevant qualification preferred
- Stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Organisation, prioritisation and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all levels
- Up to date knowledge of employment law practices
- Relevant industry knowledge to support decision making
- Coaching and advisory skills
- Influencing and questioning experience
- Risk assessment skills
- Ability to appropriately contribute and collaborate as part of a team.
