Adamsons Drinks, is one of Scotland leading drinks and Snacks wholesalers. We work with a broad range of over 3000 customers from convenience stores to cafes to local bakers.Whilst a growing ambitious company we maintain many of the small company values that have allowed us to grow and succeed in this field.
We are currently seeking to appoint a Purchasing Administrator to join our Procurement team in Dunfermline. This is a full-time role.The Role
The Purchasing Administrator will cover a range of duties within the department and will quickly progress to develop and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Order creation and placement ensuring correct stock levels
- Ensure suppliers meet delivery timeframes and resolve issues relating to late deliveries.
- Reviewing and actioning out of stocks
- Reconciling purchase orders through to invoice and resolving any disputes.
- Maintenance and updating of procurement systems and spreadsheets. Keeping the business informed of any known stock issues and likely timeframe for resolution
- Maintaining a productive relationship with the sales function and effectively communicating with the appropriate departments within the business
- Building good strong relationships with suppliers
- Helping produce promotional brochure
- Updating price files.
- General administrative tasks required in the purchasing department.
The Person
Applicants should be ambitious, keen and enjoy the challenges of working in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal applicant will have good analytical skills, a good attention to detail and be able to process at speed whilst working accurately and at pace.
The ability to make decisions and a good level of judgement is key.Office experience in a small business environment would be an advantage.
