£26,000-£32,000 DOE
Ross-On-wye, parking on site
The Role:
- Responsible and accountable for managing Health & Safety and the working Environment within the designated areas in line with Company and Statutory requirements.
- Lead and facilitate Continuous Improvement activities.
- Accountable for ensuring that the department have the appropriate resources, capacity, and capability, to meet current and future demand.
- Responsible and accountable for maintaining data integrity and accuracy of inventory.
- Comfortable making decisions with mínimal direction or supervision. Able to work in and adapt to a dynamic environment; make positive decisions, sometimes without the full information to hand and react quickly to meet challenges.
- Able to prioritise the allocation of work and move team members within the department based on business needs.
- Able to solve problems in a logical and methodical manner.
- Preparation and presentation of annual budget and monthly variance reporting.
- Document and maintain data relating to KPI's and targets, data accuracy, inventory values, stock turns, obsolescence, etc. and report accordingly.
The Person:
- Extensive, demonstrable work experience in Warehouse and Materials management preferably in a manufacturing environment essential
- Highly computer literate with previous experience with MRP / ERP systems and inventory management software. essential
- Selfstarter, requiring only mínimal supervision; enthusiastic champion of 'change' and comfortable challenging the statusquo.
- Systematic, analytical, methodical yet timely.
- Selfaware; assertive but emphatic.
- Excellent communicator, positive, enthusiastic and results driven.
- A collaborative working style as this role will work extensively across functions.
- Able to encourage, motivate and inspire the team and be a positive role model
- Flexible be prepared to work shift patterns and overtime as required to meet customer expectations.
- ILM / Similar supervisory management qualification desirable
- Health & Safety qualification desirable
