Description

The Role


To implement the building services, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme and reactive maintenance (RM) in accordance with the building operating manuals and in compliance with the contract service levels.

To support other team members and their tasks and that they are programmed and carried out effectively.

  • Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
  • Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
  • To follow the appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
  • Ensure that domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
  • The post holder will support the static and mobile Site Services Officers / Engineers.
  • Ability to fault find and rectify.
  • Competent and/or Responsible Person for but not limited Water.
  • To support the site supervisor, contract management & admin team through the operations office, dealing with day to day engineering & other contract issues
  • Record engineering performance
  • An ability to communicate with others effectively; this will include clients and end users.
  • To have a flexible approach to working times so as to suit the client & business requirements.
  • Respond to emergency situations in both normal & OOH working times
  • To support the organising and direction of subcontractor labour as necessary.
  • Conduct asset collections & condition surveys to assist the site supervisor and Assistant Regional Manager
  • Maintain Health & Safety records and ensure good practice
  • Other duties as requested by the site supervisor and Assistant Regional Manager to ensure smooth running of the contracts within the region.
  • To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the site supervisor and Assistant Regional Manager. Including, but not limited to fault finding, test, repair and preventative maintenance equipment, systems and services.
  • To close / update completed PPM tasks on the CAFM system.
  • To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  • Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
  • To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with callouts/repairs as required and requested by management.
  • Attend site emergencies and callouts, outside of normal working hours.
  • Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high level, working from platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided.
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
  • Complete any other associated task requested by the management and as dictated within the operational scope the contracts.
  • Price, manage and coordinator site minor works
  • Raise purchase orders and sales invoices as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Full UK driving licence.
  • Enhanced DBS Security Check.
  • A good awareness of Health & Safety working practices, COSHH, RIDDOR etc.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Work to tight deadlines/targets.
  • Be committed to continuing professional development.
  • Understanding of joinery, fabric and carpentry maintenance
