Category Trade Planning Manager Job Title Category Trade Planning Manager Location Asda House Employment Type Full time Contract Type Permanent Hours Per Week 37.5 Salary Competitive salary plus benefits Category Project and Program Management - SF Closing Date 31 December 2025 Purpose The Category Trade Planning Manager is responsible for planning developing and executing trade plan to drive sales market share and profitability Translating customer briefs and making data lead decisions to create a customer centric proposition The role involves cross functional collaboration with commercial marketing modular planning supply chain and retail execution teams to ensure seamless planning and execution of trade initiatives in alignment with company objectives Key Responsibilities Trade Planning Rollback Execution Analyse historical sales data customer insights and market trends to provide meaningful actions as part of quarterly planning process to support in stepping on proposition Optimise event and promotional space to deliver best return for the business whilst capturing key learning outputs as part of autopsy process to inform future planning decision making Translate the customer proposition brief to the commercial teams ensuring the brief is met whilst supporting the resolution of conflict vs P L commitments Ownership of creating quarterly trade plan encompassing key feature space market leading deals range activity whilst engaging relevant cross category stakeholders ensure trade plan delivers against customer needs reasons shop at Asda Support driving clarity consistency across store customers plans adhere Promotional Pricing Principles Collaborate with marketing align trade plans brand campaigns ensure marketing nominations reflective trade plan About You Experience buying category management or trade planning Highly organised methodical planner strong project management skills attention detail Comfortable managing influencing multiple stakeholders balancing short term trading needs long term strategic goals Confident communicator who can facilitate cross functional discussions drive alignment Commercially astute ability understand basic financial data e g sales volume forecasts pricing Proficient Excel planning tools Everything youll love To ensure we balance moments know need collaborate together need flexibility Asda has hybrid way working minimum days week one our Home Offices Over above this area Asda may have additional requirements require spending more days office visiting suppliers stores depots You Will Also Get An Excellent Benefits Package Including Discretionary company bonus Company pension up matched Company Car allowance Free access wellbeing services Stream virtual GP counselling health dental cash plans employee assistance helpline discounts range services activities airport parking enhanced theme parks cinemas We want all colleagues bring their best true selves work every day Simply put want colleagues Proud be Asda proud themselves
