Are you an experienced and dedicated professional looking to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people? SGS Care Ltd, working on behalf of Our Client, is seeking an Operations Manager and responsible Individual to lead and manage a portfolio of residential homes in the Midlands.
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
- Be the Ofsted registered responsible individual for an average of six homes (dependent upon the number of beds) and ensure they meet all relevant legislative requirements.
- Provide effective leadership and management of Our Client services for children and young people.
- Ensure a high standard of consistent care and service in accordance with legislation, government guidance, regulations, and Our Client's policies and procedures.
Key Duties
- Regularly report on residential homes' compliance with the Statement of Purpose and relevant regulations.
- Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, including Regulation 44 inspections.
- Prepare and support residential home managers for Ofsted inspections.
- Provide supervision and management support for managers, identifying training and development needs.
- Lead, support, and guide registered managers in the development of children's homes.
- Safeguard young people effectively.
- Promote professional practice through personal example and training.
- Manage electronic administration systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain a safe environment for residential staff.
- Assist in staff recruitment and oversee induction, discipline, capability, and grievance procedures.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives as required.
- Assist registered managers in managing and maintaining home vehicles.
- Prioritise communication and participation to meet young people's needs.
- Participate in meetings and training events.
