A well-established firm based in York require an experienced Compliance & Risk Officer to join their forward-thinking firm. This role is based out of the York office and offers 2 days working from home.


This reputable firm is well established in the area and have a fantastic reputation and having worked with this client previously it's clear the care they have for their clients and each other has helped them create a solid team which has enabled them to grow successfully and continue to expand their firm.


Duties of a Compliance & Risk Officer:
Experience of compliance and financial risk management within the legal sector

Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, professional and practice standards

Maintaining practice manuals and policies

Proactively keeping abreast of changes in the regulatory regime

Liaising with senior management

Ensuring security and confidentiality of data

Knowledge of AML along with other relevant legal, financial and data protection legislation and frameworks.

Proficient at identifying and managing potential risks, putting timely, workable solutions in place and making recommendations for continuous improvement.

A people person who is positive, hands-on and both team and results focused.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Have at least 3 years' experience with a law firm in compliance OR at least 2 years' experience with a law firm but a compliance role at another firm (i.e. Financial Services)

Full or Part Time will be considered
