Your Opportunity
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective operational delivery of all Associate training from Pearson.

They will lead the team and will work with a number of other functional departments to ensure the delivery of face to face and onlineevents throughout the year which during peak periods take place 7 days per week.

The Associate Training processes include gathering event requirements, creation of events and sending invitations, booking venues, allocating Stand Officers to events, collationof attendance, processing payments and dealing with any customer queries or escalations.


The role includes responsibility for:

  • Collaborating with internal clients to design high quality service solutions for their external customers; including financial planning, operational resource planning, and agreement of key performance indicators and service levels
  • Implementation of the service solution(s)
  • Ensuring continuous improvement is effectively embedded in processes
  • Driving forward change initiatives that constantly improve and move the team forward
  • Managing resource levels and clearly demonstrating capacity planning for the team throughout the year, to ensure peaks in volume are managed and staff are utilised appropriately
  • Travel approvals for Associate Management including policy review and implementation
  • Dealing with escalations both inside and outside normal working hours
  • Management of the Associate Training team including regular 1:1's, performance reviews and performance issues.

Providing accurate, regular, clear management reporting on:

  • Key performance indicators
  • Service level adherence
  • Other quality measures as appropriate
  • Financial performance
  • Operational delivery performance and risks
  • Providing accurate, regular, clear, responsive reporting to stakeholders
  • Managing the delivery of training services
  • Managing the recruitment, development, deployment and payment of a pool of high quality standardisation officers
  • Managing external suppliers of services as appropriate, including management of SLAs and KPIs. Reviewing existing service provision to ensure this aligns with the corporate procurement process and that we are challenging our suppliers to improve their serviceoffering at competitive rates

  • Management experience (preferred)
Event Management: 1 year (preferred)


Schedule:


  • Monday to Friday. There will be support required for escalations out of hours during peak periods
  • This is an officebased position to be assigned in our Pearson Fretwell Road Hellaby office
