Macildowie Finance are excited to be working on a brilliant opportunity with a fantastic manufacturing company based in
Leicester.

This business is looking to recruit an
Assistant Financial Accountant to join their fast-paced, well-respected finance team on a
permanent basis.


Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Support the preparation of the monthly management accounts and submissions as required.
  • Working with the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with company deadlines and policies.
  • Journal, accrual and prepayment preparation and review.
  • General ledger control including balance sheet substantiation and analysis.
  • Assist Finance Manager with the preparation of budgets.
  • Control the overhead expenditure analysis and control reporting. Work closely with budget holders to control spends and ensure costs are in line with budgets / forecasts.
You must be/have...

  • Strong analytical and questioning ability
  • A confident communicator with financial and nonfinancial colleagues
  • Studying towards ACCA/ CIMA
  • Strong IT skills across standard operating systems
  • Good literacy and numeracy needed and excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge and appreciation of manufacturing processes
