Description

Due to continued expansion, we have a full-time vacancy to join our Commerical Risks team, with 2/3 years' experience in Account Handling.


  • To support the Commercial Director and service and administer his insurance portfolios of commercial clients in a timely, professional, and costeffective manner
  • Help maintain the company's income by retaining existing clients.
  • Handle client enquiries quickly, fairly & efficiently

Main duties/responsibilities:


  • To achieve any personal or team business targets set and agreed with your Manager
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with potential clients, influencers and suppliers
  • Correctly assess clients' and prospective clients' demands and needs and recommend appropriate products wherever possible
  • Ensure that any clients with whom you deal are treated fairly at all times
  • To administer the insurance portfolios of allocated clients in a timely, professional and costeffective manner
  • Maintain effective credit control in respect of your allocated clients
  • Assist with the administration of the insurance arrangements of Appointed Representatives in accordance with company procedures.
  • To provide administrative support to the Commercial Director and other members of the team as required
  • To collate and prepare appropriate reports and presentations
  • To accompany Commercial Director to client meetings as required.
  • To understand and comply with regulatory requirements, industry codes of practice and the Company's own procedures and rules
  • To undergo training in line with agreed objectives, keep up to date with technical, legal and market developments
  • Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • To be aware of and manage any potential conflict of interest
  • Immediately report any significant failures to comply with regulatory requirements in accordance with Company's Code of Practice
  • Immediately refer any complaints from customers or insurers in accordance with Company's Code of Practice
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, colleagues, insurers and other suppliers
  • Immediately advise your Manager of any problem, issue or request which falls outside your authority, level of experience or knowledge, or which could in any way detract from your ability to achieve your work objectives
  • To undertake any additional duties which have been specifically assigned to you and/or may be reasonably requested by your Manager or the Directors
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to crosssell appropriate products and services to existing clients
  • To cultivate where possible recommendations and referrals from existing clients

  • Acturis and/or Open GI to the extent that it relates to the Job, electronic mail, the internet, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, Data Protection, at basic level
