Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our organization. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a passion for working with children. The position is for 2.5 days per week Tuesday to Thursday (18hrs), Additional hours may also be available.
Duties:
- Assist with managing daily activities and routines in the nursery
- Provide support to the teaching staff in implementing early childhood education programs
- Engage and interact with children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
- Assist with organizing and supervising activities, such as arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor play
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
Requirements:
Childcare Qualifications Level 2 or Level - Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred, with a working knowledge of the EarlyYears Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and be able to demonstrate high quality childcare and show motivation and enthusiasm for working with young children
