We are looking to recruit a number of exam invigilators to join our friendly exam team.

This role will allow you to work flexibly on a casual basis helping to ensure that all exams are conducted in accordance with JCQ guidelines.

Full training will be provided on appointment.

May/June.

This role will be on a casual, as and when required basis, with no fixed hours of work.

Post Title:
Exam Invigilator


Responsible to:
Examinations Officer


Purpose of post:
To conduct all exams in accordance with the JCQ guidelines.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the security of exam papers at all times and ensure that the conduct of the exam takes place within the guidelines set down by the JCQ.
  • Collect question papers, attendance registers and all other necessary materials before an exam.
  • Check the exam room is set up in accordance with JCQ regulations.
  • Accurately complete attendance registers
  • Be vigilant at all times during an exam and record any incidents that occur.
  • Collect and collate completed scripts at the end of the exam and return them to the Exams Office.

  • Ability to keep calm under pressure or during unexpected circumstances
  • Ability to be firm but fair at all times
  • Enhanced Disclosure clearance (including barred list check), following a conditional offer of appointment
  • Provision of two references which are deemed as satisfactory to the Headmaster
  • The ability to meet the requirements of the Asylum and Immigration Act
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and students
  • Flexibility

Desirable

  • English and Maths at GCSE or above
  • Experience of exam invigilation
