Full Job Description


Outgoing, fun and friendly holiday club facilitator and music and performing arts coach (children's music and performing arts groups aged 5-12 years (mixed gender) and assist where necessary with multi-sports activities i.e.

setting up, clearing away etc.


Job Overview
We are looking for staff in Merseyside and surrounding areas of Liverpool. They will deliver a multi-music and performing arts programme aimed at children aged 5-12 in a mixed group setting.

This will include delivering workshop lessons teaching groups using African Drumming/ Samba percussion instruments / Guitar/ Ukulele/ Keyboard and Choir This will all be done with training and support from us.

This is a permanent post after 3 months' probation.

Hours of Work:
Full time seasonal work during half-term (3oth October - 3rd November) and further half terms and summer holidays Aug (4 weeks)

Working Relationships:
Children or adults attending the camp (which may be in school premises). Teachers, parents, management and staff, in relation to children attending camp, including other students/children. School staff and registering authorities.

We are recruiting in Liverpool and Merseyside


Main Duties Include:

Preparation and delivering quality Holiday Clubs during holidays with 20 children or less, ages 5 to 12. Following Club/Camp lesson plans and using our equipment for these activities.

Ensure that all participants are cared for and can actively participate in the workshop where possible.

Setting up the activities, laying out materials, including moving furniture and equipment, and clearing up after sessions. Taking registers and dealing with parent/carer enquiries

Administering first aid when necessary (if qualified) as well as helping with workshop administration, where necessary. Undertaking appropriate and relevant training. Keeping the work environment healthy, safe, and secure.

Working within the framework of After Adventures NG Ltd policies and procedures.

Complying with OFSTED guidelines and/or any other relevant regulatory bodies


Looking after equipment and storing it appropriately and assisting with Halloween disco (mostly monitoring children) and the onsite tuck shop when required.


Person Specification:


Essential Qualities:

Experience of working with 5- to 12-year-olds

Good references and full work history

Excited about learning through activity and fun

A passion for working with children and young people

An enthusiasm for music and performing arts coaching

Music and performing arts experience and/or qualifications

Understanding the issues of equal opportunities and inclusive education

Being able to provide and facilitate safe, creative, active learning

Reflect on your work and practice and make changes if necessary

Good communication skills

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Driving licence and access to transport


Desirable Qualities
PGCE/ equivalent teaching qualification / TA qualifications /other training qualifications

Experience of working within a school or club setting

Experience of administration

Competent in using IT to support administration

Appropriate child protection training

Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to take one
