Your Role in Our Journey
We are seeking a passionate and talented Junior Conservator to join our esteemed Conservation Team.

As a leading force in fire and flood restoration, we possess an unwavering dedication to restoring the soul of damaged artworks and artefacts.

Our state-of-the-art facility near Bracknell is a haven where creativity flourishes, providing the perfect environment for our team of experienced conservators to nurture and cultivate your developing skills.

This entry-level role is ideally suited for a recent graduate or an individual with some prior experience as a Conservator, Collections Assistant, or similar role and who is yearning to embark on a transformative journey of growth and development.


You:
The Sculptor of Knowledge


As a Junior Conservator, you will have the opportunity of working under the close supervision and mentorship of our experienced conservation team.

Immersed in a nurturing environment, you will learn to harness your passion for art preservation and refine your skills.

Your primary focus will be learning while assisting the Conservation Team in organising and administrating the complete restoration journey, including contents collection, packing, inventory, transport, restoration, and redelivery.

You will embark on captivating journeys, travelling from Bracknell to various locations across the Southeast and occasionally nationally and internationally, to lend your growing expertise to a diverse range of institutions, property owners and collectors.


Responsibilities:


  • Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of our conservation team, absorbing knowledge and skills under their expert guidance.
  • Embrace the meticulous nature of art conservation, exhibiting an unparalleled level of attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
  • Assist in organising and administering the collection, packing, and inventories of contents, treating each item as a precious artefact deserving of your meticulous care.
  • Collaborate closely with the senior conservators to support and contribute to the restoration projects. Engaging in all restoration and conservation tasks to expand your knowledge and skills.
  • Embrace the Travel opportunities to various locations throughout the Southeast, and occasionally nationally or internationally, to provide your invaluable assistance.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation of all restoration activities, including condition reports, inventories, treatment details, and photographic documentation.
  • Embrace continuous learning, staying informed about the latest techniques, materials, and best practices in art conservation.
  • Cultivate effective communication skills, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration with team members, homeowners, and insurance loss adjusters.

Requirements:


  • A degree in Art Conservation, Conservation Science, or a related field, or prior experience as a Junior Conservator, Collections Assistant or similar role, showcasing your dedication to the art preservation realm.
  • A keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and precision.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, allowing you to manage content collection, packing, and inventories efficiently.
  • A deep passion for art and cultural heritage preservation drives your motivation to continuously learn and grow in the field of conservation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively within a team environment and forge meaningful relationships with stakeholders.
