    Job Description

    At Integrated Project Services, you'll apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people, solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities.

    We're looking for an experienced, creative Senior Electrical Engineer, recognized for technical expertise, to work independently on various design projects concurrently. Responsibility will include oversight of the entire design process or assisting as a technical expert on a specialized design.

    As an experienced electrical engineer, you'll assess the requirements of a project, break it into tasks, and work with a Project Manager to determine the scope of work, staffing, and quality standards. After assigning work to the project team, you'll regularly review their progress and alert the PM to any changes in scope.

    You'll be based in the UK, researching design options, writing electrical design scopes of work, preparing engineering studies, and schematic designs for new systems, analyzing existing systems, and creating drawings and sketches. You'll also do estimating, review contractor applications, review construction budgets, and coordinate document completion.

    As a leader on the electrical design team, you'll share knowledge with and mentor junior staff, interact with clients, listen to their needs, and positively demonstrate the IPS focus on client experience. You'll build strong relationships with internal design teams and external clients as you work to provide solutions and build life-impacting facilities.

    • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year College or University.
    • Experience with the design of building electrical systems, such as building service, power distribution, generators, lighting, fire alarm, security, and other low voltage systems.
    • Experience in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting (AutoCAD/Revit).

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing.
    • Professional electrical design experience from feasibility and conceptual design through final commissioning and closeout.
    • Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Nutraceutical, or Life Science industry experience.
    • Experience with medium voltage systems, electrical hazardous classified areas, and telecommunications systems.
    • Strong understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, IBC, and other related building codes and standards.
