AIMS OF THE POST
To provide needs led support to adults with learning disabilities/mental health problems living in supported accommodation or floating support accommodation.
MAIN DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
- Keyworking
- To provide practical and social support to vulnerable people living at 2 Care.
- To support individuals to participate in activities at 2 Care.
- To enable and support service users to develop their skills and confidence.
- To support and encourage service users to access the local community effectively.
- To be aware of and work in accordance with the 2 Care Code of Practice for Support Workers.
- To work within the 2 Care Health and Safety Policy.
- To be fully conversant with and act in accordance with 2 Care policies and procedures.
- Implementation of the 2 Care Equal Opportunities Policy.
- To contribute to the development of the service.
- To participate in staff activities and duties including team meetings supervision, performance reviews and job related training.
- To contribute to individual support/action plans for service users.
- To liaise with other staff, managers, collaborating agencies and service users. Ensuring individual needs are met and confidentiality maintained.
- To be actively involved in the delivery, assessment and monitoring of individual's support plans.
- To undertake any duties consistent with the scope of the job as requested by 2 Care Line Managers.

- All new employees will be fully trained inhouse and will also receive external training on safeguarding and first aid.
- NVQ/Diploma Level 2/3 in adult social care desirable but not essential. All new staff will have the opportunity to be enrolled on Level 2 Health and social care diploma if not already held.
