Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist/Manual Lathe operator. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines to produce precision parts. As well as carrying out general workshop duties such as, cutting metal and packing finished parts ready for customers.


Duties:

• Set up and operate a manual lathe
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and precise tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team member to troubleshoot issues
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Requirements:

• Proficiency in tooling, including use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machine operations
