This position will be based at our Grimsby factory working 4 on 4 off


The Role:
This role is responsible for running a cod portioning line.

You will be responsible for a small team of people and will need to be flexible to support across other lines where necessary.

There is a strong focus on hitting portion targets and yields therefore attention to detail is paramount.

Leading and mentoring the team in attaining the daily / weekly production plan, in line with customer expectations.

You must have strong core values which revolve around the respect and welfare of our employees, have a commitment to deliver quality, and be the go to partner for our customers within the fresh fish sector.


Responsibilities:


- To implement and deliver the primary lines safety requirements, ensuring all pre-start up checks are completed, all non-conformances to be raised through the production manager and health and safety manager. Ensure that all reported near misses and accident investigations are closed out on time.

  • To deliver the weekly primary planned operations ensuring that line performance efficiencies are met, or exceeded with customer orders delivered OTIF across each retail S.K.U.
  • To deliver the line performance against set OEE parameters / Yield Targets
  • Deliver and communicate the K.P.I results at the T1 and T2 review meetings, actively participate in efficiency improvement projects to improve yield and give away recovery, whilst reducing labour cost
  • To deliver the planned labour and overtime budgets in line with set targets.
  • Account and ensure that all prestart up checks are completed, all nonconformances raised and closed with the engineering department ensuring line time efficiency is optimized and reduction in down time.
  • Complete all quality control records for all production runs.
  • Liaise with both H.R and the training department ensuring the training and development for the team is met. Ensure that return to work, disciplinary and grievance procedures are acted on and closed out accordingly, accountable for first level disciplinary with the filleting as necessary.

To work with the production and senior team to deliver on business objectives, both long and short term.

Skills & Experience:

Proven track record in delivering results in an operational FCMG supervisory role / junior managers role

Good fresh fish industry knowledge would be desirable

Able to build and support the team to perform at a high standard

Understanding of production and engineering techniques

Ability to supervise multi process lines to meet performance targets.

Adept in delivering and measuring K.P.I

Excellent communication and people management skills

Can think "outside the box "operational adaptability

Excellent problem-solving skills.
