Description
BM Catalysts are a successful manufacturing company, specialising in the supply of catalytic converter systems to the automotive aftermarket throughout the UK and Europe.
As part of our continued expansion, we now require an Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller to handle UK Accounts who will report to the Credit Manager (CM).
Duties include:
- Handling day to day customer queries
- Supporting the CM in mitigating financial risk (including fraud risk and credit risk) in respect of credit sales to customers within the context of the credit insurance policy and the sales ethos of the company
- Processing customer credit notes from the Returns system and monthly / quarterly sales rebate credit notes
- Day to day Sales Ledger processing: S/L receipts, allocations, daily and monthly ledger reconciliations, monthly control accounts
- Supporting the CM in liaising with Regional Sales Managers to ensure our internal programme for auditing Consignment Stock is carried out according to a riskbased approach and reporting periodically to the Finance Director on progress towards each year's target number of test counts
- Manage and control customer annual target rebates and a master list of all customer rebates
- Supporting the CM in producing the data for credit control meetings
- Any other ad hoc duties
- Excellent customer facing skills and the ability to maintain a calm and professional approach at all times
- Must be IT literate to an intermediate standard and have good maths and English
- Must be able to do Vlookups and pivot tables in Excel
- Must develop the ability to perform database queries to extract data to Excel
- Must be mindful that some of the data being handled is confidential in nature and of the need for discretion
- Must be mindful of the dept's responsibility for the prevention and detection of error or fraud
- Must be mindful to avoid any conflicts of interest and behave with the utmost professional integrity at all times
The job is hourly paid with a pay range of £10.58 p/hr to £11.54 p/hr (equivalent to £22k p/a to £24k p/a).
