Description

Our Sandbach office is seeking an experienced full time legal secretary to work within the Family department.

Hours: 5 days per week, Part Time Hours will be considered)

Purpose of Role:
To provide a high quality administration service to the Firm and its fee earners.

Responsible to:
Partner

Duties and Responsibilities:

Transcription of digital dictation and copy work.
Answering phone calls and directing phone calls to appropriate person or taking messages and producing appropriate file notes.
Making appointments for clients either in person or by telephone and producing appropriate file notes.
Filing correspondence and paperwork.
Inputting information provided by fee earners onto the database as required
Opening new files at the direction of the fee earner.
Ensuring confidentiality of all matters dealt with.
Maintain high professional standards, confidence and integrity.
Such other tasks as the firm may from time to time require.

Experience:
Experience in a family law department is preferred although not essential and training will be given.

Knowledge / Skills:

Appropriate keyboard skills.
Communicate effectively and courteously and convey information accurately.
Work calmly and accurately under pressure.
Prioritise tasks.
Willingness and ability to learn new technology
