Our Sandbach office is seeking an experienced full time legal secretary to work within the Family department.


Hours: 5 days per week, Part Time Hours will be considered)


Purpose of Role:
To provide a high quality administration service to the Firm and its fee earners.


Responsible to:
Partner


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Transcription of digital dictation and copy work.
  • Answering phone calls and directing phone calls to appropriate person or taking messages and producing appropriate file notes.
  • Making appointments for clients either in person or by telephone and producing appropriate file notes.
  • Filing correspondence and paperwork.
  • Inputting information provided by fee earners onto the database as required
  • Opening new files at the direction of the fee earner.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of all matters dealt with.
  • Maintain high professional standards, confidence and integrity.
  • Such other tasks as the firm may from time to time require.

Experience:
Experience in a family law department is preferred although not essential and training will be given.


Knowledge / Skills:


  • Appropriate keyboard skills.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously and convey information accurately.
  • Work calmly and accurately under pressure.
  • Prioritise tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technology
