Admin and IT Assistant

Edinburgh, Scotland

Starting Salary up to £22k

INTRO


We are recruiting an Admin and IT Assistant for our Edinburgh based client - a fantastic orgnaisation who operate within the Training / Skills sector.

This is a varied role, which requires someone with both strong IT and administrative skills.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in an office environment is a must.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and planning skills.
  • Database management experience. Usage of administrative software for data recording and processing.
  • Accurate data entry.
  • Very good computer and IT skills.
  • A strong background in all Microsoft Office programmes e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Acrobat and PDF desirable.
  • Experience using SharePoint, Dropbox, OneDrive, or similar.
  • Technical assistance with setting up hardware (PC's, printers, mobile phones, etc.).
  • General administrative experience such as filing, archiving and organising paperwork (both digitally and physically).
  • Printing, scanning and posting out documents.
  • Understanding GDPR rules and practices.
  • A knowledge of advanced level written English, with the ability to effectively edit and proofread documents, write reports and take down meeting minutes ( attention to spelling, grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure)
  • Competent in writing Process Notes and making Flow Charts.
Soft Skills

  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be thorough and accurate at completing tasks.
  • Very good time management, able to prioritise and perform to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Efficient communicator to management and a good team player.
  • Takes accountability and pride in their work.
  • Technically minded and able to problem solve IT issues.
  • Problem solving skills and able to work autonomously.
  • Highly motivated individual with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Good work ethics, reliable and punctual.
  • Able to follow up with team's deadlines in a timely manner.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday
