*Key responsibilities of the role: - Review of current processes and practice to drive continual quality improvement.- Complete GMP and Hygiene audits to required schedule
- Assist in the investigation of consumer complaints determining root cause and corrective action necessary to prevent reoccurrence.
- Assist in the investigation of nonconforming items determining root cause and corrective action necessary to prevent reoccurrence.
- Participate in the internal audit schedule completing audits as necessary to demonstrate compliance with company, customer and industry standards
- Where applicable take samples in accordance site quality plan ensuring the samples are analysed in a timely manner and results reported / escalated as appropriate.
- Complete traceability exercises to agreed plan.
- Facilitate the effective running of site quality panels/boards to agreed schedules and standards.
- Completion of operational QC compliance audits, reporting of nonconformance and ensuring corrective action is in place and monitored to prevent reoccurrence.
- Assist in new starter and refresher training Verification of new equipment, packaging or process, ensure that internal and external customer expectations are reviewed and where considered valid are built into company's protocols

- Actively participate in the implementation of site quality improvement projects, where necessary providing support to train operation teams and monitor project effectiveness.
- Provide necessary cover for Macduff plant for absence of the Quality Technologist.
- Facilitate and manage the transfer of NPD and new copack products/Packaging into manufacturing and coordinate new product launches ensuring all launches meet food safety, legal and customer requirements
- Implementation of process and packaging changes, ensure that all changes to processes are evaluated, risk assessed and documented.
- Completion of all product, process and packaging trails required are to a satisfactory standard with clear objectives and measurable success criteria, ensuring the operations team are engaged.
- New Process Risk Assessments, ensure any changes have been risk assessed and com[any's operating instructions updated taking into account the changes
- To be a member of the HACCP team ensuring process, equipment and packaging, has a validated HACCP in place
- Facilitate and manage the implementation of value engineering projects in to manufacturing
